When searching for movers you will be able to see which movers will connect/disconnect appliances, such as a washer and dryer, on their profile. This is designated by Disconnect & Reconnect Appliances. We recommend contacting your mover directly if your move requires connect/disconnect of gas appliances (as noted below) or a refrigerator water line.
Movers typically do not provide this service for gas appliances. You can contact your mover directly to inquire, but wehighly recommend contacting your utility company to arrange for professional assistance with gas appliances.
Washing Machine: Don't Forget the Transit Bolts
If you have a front load washing machine you must have the four transit bolts that came with the appliance. These bolts are necessary for proper movement and transit as they lock major components of the appliance to prevent damage. An image of transit bolts is below for reference.
