Not pleased with this move at all. I was sent inexperienced movers who made that clear that they had only been in the business a couple days. They brought no hand trucks or equipment to the job. They also showed up at different times and one was late.
We will not be using Student Movers in the future.

7/20/2013Portable Storage Load The movers were 1.5 hours late. I was called by Jackie from Student Movers to tell me they were running behind as the first job of the day was taking longer than expected. I could either wait or, if needed, she might be able to find a backup team to do the move. My reason for the low score on the professionalism and communication was due to the conversations with Jackie, not the movers themselves. She was not professional and bordered on being rude when I told her I could not wait, I needed them there as promised by 10 AM as I had to be out that day; the people who bought the house were waiting to move in. She became upset with me and told me she shouldn't have bothered calling me as they had until 10 to be there (the first call was at about 9:15) and I was getting upset about nothing. However, when I asked her if that meant they would be there by 10, she said no, that was why she was calling. A backup team of movers showed up at 11:30. When the team finally arrived they moved very quickly and efficiently and had everything packed in less than the 3 hours. However, they did not have dollies with them as Jackie had told me they would have. Fortunately we had one. The higher overall satisfaction score is due to the movers getting everything done in less than 3 hours.

Mario worked hard and organized all my furniture very well in the truck. Nothing was broken.
