Truck Load in Newnan, GA

I have waited to complete this until my anger could subside. Elite gave me a window of 7:00 - 9:00 am. The local company called and said there was no way they could start before 8. They finally were ready to start looking at the job at 8:15. In my discussions with Elite, we decided we needed three men. The local company sent me two men and a boy. The crew leader liked to talk A LOT. The second man was adequate at best, the most the kid contributed was managing to break a lamp trying to grab it from my hand. There was too much communication, not enough work. I had specifically requested an appliance dolly, as there was a file cabinet to go up stairs. These guys showed up with a beat up hand truck, after they asked me if I had shrink wrap, hand trucks and dollies. At 8:15 we walked through the job. Immediately the discussion began we can't possibly complete this in a couple of hours. Their supervisor seemed to call them about every 20 minutes. They were incapable of working without me being right on top of them. They would take something to the truck, and 10 minutes later I go out there and two are on the ground talking, and one in the truck talking, all the while the clock is running. When the owner asked me about the move, I told him. He then became defensive ant said that if I wanted a better crew, I should have scheduled a full service move. That the boy was new and had to learn on the job. I did not realize I was hiring a training class. To be fair the file cabinet was a beast to move upstairs and these guys refused to give up. We did get it done. The owner took about $50 off my bill, but the time that was wasted was more important than the money to me. Nice people but inept. This is not the first moving labor service that I have used, but by far the worst. The one that I usually use did not have an office in the area of this move so I turned to Elite. The Elite folks were prompt and professional with the scheduling, however the local company they referred the job to was not.
