Moving labor washed their hands when the there was confusion about our move. CJS took steps to correct the problem (they incorrectly thought move was canceled and acknowledged their error.). But communications with Moving Labor were all defensive. Moving Labor pointed fingers, did not offer to help and deflected any responsibility. In fact, the agent said that once a mover accepts a contract, the role of Moving Labor was complete and we had to contact the mover directly. Use a different booking service, because Moving Labor doesn't know the meaning of the word "service."

This move was an unload only, so pretty straight forward. We hope to purchase a house in the next 6-9 months so I am anxious to have them load and unload. Loading is the tricky and time consuming part...putting the puzzle together as opposed to taking the puzzle apart.

They demanded to be paid in cash. Said it was "too late" to run a credit card and would not take a check. I had to use them only because the first crew scheduled, Moving Made Simple, did not show up and was not reachable by phone.

Each packer and mover was polite, courteous and efficient. I am sorry to say an inexperienced packer packed dishes. They did not use a dish pack box and placed wine glasses on their sides at the bottom of a medium sized box then packed coffee mugs and heavy glass Pyrex casserole dishes in the top. I have lost four crystal wine glasses and a coffee mug. With experience I am sure he will get better at packing glassware.
