To start with, just let me say I believe this experience was a gross over payment for services rendered.
According to your web site, I was given the impression that I was hiring experienced loaders. I.e. they would arrive on time, have a furniture dolly, hand dolly and appropriate tools. None of this occurred.
See the following :
• Schedule: They were to arrive between 9 and 10am. One person arrived at approximately 9am. The second person scheduled did not show. The person that arrived on time called his boss to report in on the situation. His boss lined up another individual who arrived at approximately 9:50am and left at approximately 11: 45am. The first person went out of his way to try and make the best of the situation. I indicated that I wanted him to call his boss so I could talk to him. At that time, he went to his car and spent several minutes on the phone with his boss. He then told me that his boss has authorized a $40 dollar discount. I responded by saying,” I didn’t want the discount I wanted 2 loaders for 2 hours”. One person could not load the heavy items by himself. He left approximately 11:45am saying he had a 12 noon commitment.
• Equipment: As I mentioned above, your web site indicated they would arrive with appropriate tools and dollies. If I hadn’t a hand dolly and the tools required, they would have been out of luck.
• General Comments: When I did a search on Google to find available movers, I noticed Big Boy Movers for less money than your web page indicated. However, it appeared they were using college students to do the work. I was short on time and wanted someone with experience. Therefore. I contacted your company. You then subbed the work out to Big Boy movers (two college students with little work ethic), and charged me a $49 dollar fee. I could have hired Big Boy movers myself and saved the $49.
In conclusion I want to say this was the worst experience I have had in a long time and will not be recommending your company to anyone I know.

Overall we were well pleased and would use them again. Minor points- they were about 10 minutes late, probably in hindsight it would have been good for them to call to get directions (I did email directions, but not sure whether those would have reached the two individuals in time). They also drove past the driveway after they called and I gave pretty clear directions. They did work very well and efficiently, though assembling Ikea furniture out of the box was not something they were able to handle- I redirected them to other tasks and had my sons do that item. They were also prepared to end promptly at 11 even though they started 10 minutes late, I didn't press the point because we did in fact get done by 11 but assume that your policy is, two hours from 'actual' start time is what should be counted. Again I just note these details constructively, I would indeed hire them again as overall they did a good job.
