I had called Moving Labor to assist with the packing of our kitchen, China, and glass. The 2 employees that came to our home were not professional packers as I had requested. I had to instruct them how to wrap plates and glass, how to pad the boxes with newsprint, how to place the plates and glasses in the boxes. I had to tell them line the plates up vertically. One employees caught on fairly quickly and did an adequate job (we’ll find out next week if the items survive the 500 mile move). The other did not. He didn’t even tape the boxes closed. His boxes had plates loosely wrapped, plates clanking around. I talked with Ben in Customer Service about how to resolve this problem, suggesting that he send someone else back to repack the improperly packed boxes. He said that he could do that but I would need to pay for a second crew. In my lifetime, I have moved more than 20 times, experiencing excellent, good, adequate, and bad. This is the WORST ever! There are multiple instruction guides and videos available on the internet. Moving Labor needs to train their employees before they touch a single plate.
