On the morning of the scheduled move, we were called multiple times by the movers to push back the prearranged time (10 am) when they finally arrived 2 hours (1245) after the time I requested, they were still 15 minutes late. While the gentlemen were very polite and courteous, they damaged several items due to their careless actions. As one example: they placed their dolly up against my $1000 dresser and scratched it with deep markings. Another incident, knocking one item into another and breaking the legs in half. Things that would not have occurred without their carelessness. Yes, they apologized, but that does not restore my items or negate their actions. They finished 15 minutes over the 2 hours and charged us, which I felt was completely wrong, considering they didn’t show up when they were scheduled, and we had already moved quite a bit of items ourselves and they were 15 minutes late and they damaged my furniture. When we paid in cash, they could not provide a receipt and said they had to email one at a later time. Well considering how they had already proved unreliable and unprofessional, I wasn’t comfortable giving a large sum of cash without a receipt. A call to their boss further diminished their credibility, as he never bothered to offer his apologies for the damage to our items, the change of time to over 2 hours later or being late. I made the staff mover write me a handwritten note acknowledging payment and the boss said he would also email a receipt to which he still has not done. It was a very tiring and disappointing day. Due to the movers not showing up on time, my husband who has one leg ended up doing so much of the work we hired the movers to do and then had to drive a big uhaul truck exhausted 6 hours in heavy traffic, and not arriving until very late at night. And lastly, because of the terrible customer service and unprofessionalism of the owner, I did something I never do; I withheld the tip I had for the movers. As a result, it ruined my day because I felt bad about it all the next day. I had an opportunity to show grace and forgiveness and I failed and for that Monkey Movers, I wish to offer my sincere apologies. Movers have an extremely hard and labor intensive job and often work in extreme temperatures under stressful circumstances and I am grateful that there are people willing to offer their services. As such, thank you for your services.

Originally called at 1215 saying they were 30 min away. Called again and said they were here. They were at wrong address and would be here in 20 minutes. Finally showed up at 215. Lead guy was nice & polite and worked hard. Other "helper", barely did anything and caused them to go 7 minutes over the 2 hours scheduled, and they charged me for 15 minutes. I helped them throughout and to get charged for the overtime was ridiculous. Would never recommend this company. I am in the service industry ( hotel manager), and this was poor service.
